Amazing stuff, truly amazing. I've gotten a lot of pleasure listening to the master of California Girls without lyrics (I feel the lyrics drag it down) as well as the Pet Sounds, SMiLE and Smiley Smile sessions over the years. While Im not as big a fan of Wild Honey, the Can't Wait Too Long and Cool Cool Water sessions were a real treat as well. This contains takes and pieces which were not on the SMiLE boxset, so it's also an invaluable asset to fan mixers as well.

10. Definitely the most amazing thing that I've ever heard in music. The basis of every Beach Boys fan, to listen and listen again up to nausea... Vol. 15 should have won a Grammy

Vol. 18, 'The Smiley Smile Sessions', is a real revelation. I love hearing Brian working out the parts to Shes Goin Bald, Gettin Hungry, messing around with Vegetables, all those wind chimes overdubs! its really cool to hear them messing around with that stunning strange material.

I've always felt that Smiley Smile is the most fascinating album in the catalog and the one I'd love the most answers to. In so many fans' opinions and even official releases like the Love and Mercy film and boxset materials, SS is treated as just a cheap afterthought not worth paying attention to. I think it's fascinating to think of people we usually see as pretty straight-laced getting involved in this project which is the embodiment of weed if any album deserved the distinction.
