Is this 'shoegaze' music?

Amazon shows that Brian is on Don't Worry Baby. Do you know if he is on both tracks?
Edit: The She & Him website shows Brian is on Do It Again. I will assume that Amazon is wrong.

Wasn't it just a couple of words, and Bruce wanted to have a song co-written with Brian so Bruce gave Brian credit on the song?

If it's literally just a couple of words, I hope one of them was "bath." But knowing Brian, it was probably the line "Baby, one-two-three, and you're back with me."

I don’t know how often I’ll listen to this, but I do like that it’s slightly different than their usual style. Interested to hear the rest.

Always loved that one.

Ugh! I can’t stand anything about the backing, vocals, or video.

They're just having fun. It sounds like it's trying to be in a similar mood to Paul Simon's You Can Call Me Al. Not a horrible rendition.

I’m not surprised AGD doesn’t like it because Zooey in particular isn’t something his ears relate to. That’s fine, as I can’t relate to Bob Dylan’s voice.. never have never will. Everyone has acquired tastes, so if their shtick / style isn’t your cup of tea, just because they are doing Wilson songs won’t matter.
From a fans point of view, this Darlin arrangement for me is a miss. I have most of their records in one format or another and like most everything by them. I don’t think the song is bad but just not special. However… the video is horrible, and I’ll listen to it again without watching and maybe it will grow on me. I’ve seen some really cool videos by them and some very low budget blah videos but this one stinks. Having things going on in videos that have nothing to do with the lyrics is one thing but this weirdness doesn’t match up with the song in any stretch.

I’ll hold off until I hear more samples of other songs. Was sort of looking forward to this but not impressed with this cut.

Is this 'shoegaze' music? I had me gazing down at my shoes not long after all that weird fingernail stuff started.😉 The performance was ok, I didn’t hate it, but I wouldn’t search it out to listen again.

Truly terrible. OMG! I can't find a positive thing to say about it. 'She' can't sing, and 'Him' can't either. There's no 'sparkle', it sounds flat and vocals sound out of tune. Zooey has a visual cuteness appeal, but the fella is dead weight.
I really wanted to like this too...

That - I just don't get the deadpan, almost emotionless delivery*: Astrud Gilberto cornered that market so why even try - but it's not just that, it's... everything about their version of a song that in its original incarnation simply explodes with energy and joy. She & Him simply emasculate it.
[* then again, I seem to be the only person in the known universe not having multiple orgasms about Wet Leg. An offence against God, man, nature, music and especially my ears.]

This is an instant pre-order for me. Not my favorite cover of theirs, but I have all the She & Him records (Volume 2 is the best), including the tacky Christmas-records. Also have most of M Wards output.
M Ward has been doing BB-songs for ages and I like that he tries to do something a little bit different. Seeing the track list I can't wait to hear their rendition of Heads I Win, Tails You Lose, Till I Die, Melt Away, Meant For You. Some bold choices.
The video is also pretty tacky, but I guess that's what they were going for.
(I also like Wet Leg, sorry)
