huh, this one is new to me. anyone know which interview this snippet comes from ? I know it's not the Pewter or the Fornatale interview - not any part that I've heard before, anyway. Back in may 1977 my friend was working at an fm radio station he gave me an interview with brian that was sent to the station. It was on four reel to reel tapes. I believe the interview was from king bisquit flower hour called “a conversation with brian wilson”. I think that is where the interview comes from. I have cd’s of that interview. I lost the reels in the fire. I would have to listen to them to be sure but i think that is where the interview comes from. I almost fell to the floor when i first heard it in 1977.

just found this on vimeo and shared it... These are musical segments of Dennis' music from the 70's. Steve Desper presented this music at a Beach Boys fan convention in the early 1980's in Oakland, California. He described each piece of music, how he recorded it, and told stories about Brian and Dennis. The tape of Desper's presentation circulated amongst collectors for many years.

Dominic did his homework. Very interesting historic video; and a great one, for music students who are studying the history of rock or surf-type music. Thanks for posting that.

I went to the Something Great From '68 show at the Hard Rock Casino & Hotel on 2019/08/31 which happened to be the first date of the tour. I tried to smuggle in my little audio recorder but security seemed too tight when I first showed up so I abandoned the project. However, I collected every possible cell phone video that people were willing to give to me and "borrowed" some from YouTube, Instagram & Reddit and in the end was able to make a concert video for both the Zombies (about 24 minutes worth) & Brian Wilson (about and hour and 10 minutes worth). When I had more than source, I mixed it into stereo. Some people may be frustrated by the lack of Friends material (only 2 seconds worth of "Wake The World" for instance) but I only missed 2 songs from the BW set: "Darlin'" and "Passing By". Everything else is here, complete or otherwise. Enjoy it for what it is, a document of latter day Brian Wilson with his band performing a set mostly consisting of material that covered 1967-1972. Innerwreckdom, just a thought, you might want to post your BW "Something Great From '68" video comp in the "Brian On Tour 2019" thread.

The Beach Boys - Airplane - but it's only the tag, and it's looped for 1 full hour: (God bless this uploader.)

So... here's something I didn't know existed.
Good job matching Carl's dialogue shots with the concert footage. (Far more believable than the thought of Shatner on a surfboard!)

Lots of Dennis close ups here, never saw this one. Wow. I know this is just snippets from a post game show, but it reminds me that it was so great when Carl came back in '82. The band suddenly seemed 10 years younger. A breath of fresh air after the nightmare, Carl-less concerts of the year before.

A good interview with Adrian Baker here on the day that Dennis died:
He mentions that he had basically finished a dance-themed album with Mike. Does anyone know what the prospective tracklisting was destined to be?
