One last early question from a Brit who's fast asleep -
Would a Carl & Passions/Holland-era box be the perfect place for a bonus disc of the Flame recordings - the Flame album that came out, plus whatever work was done on a second album? Carl was the producer, after all . . . There are some very dubious CD versions of the LP available, but I'd love to hear a remastered set.

HUUUUGE shout out to Steve Desper!! I’ve been a serious fan of his from the first time I listened to SUNFLOWER when I was a kid, and saw those technical notes on the back cover. I’m still blown away by the mixes of those albums. I was incredibly honored to be asked to write a forward to his book.

Alan, you still a Corn Chex guy? That really didn't sit well with the band.

Hank, I do hope we’ll have an opportunity to meet again and swap some stories! And maybe make up a few new ones (Zeppo’s saga needs some more attention, methinks)

1. Did you ever meet Charlie Manson?
2. What can you tell us, or what do you know, of the 10-track Manson solo record produced by Carl and Brian?
3. What can you tell us about the Terry Melcher arranged Wrecking Crew session for some of those Manson tracks that featured Hal Baine, Mike Deasy, Jerry Cole, etc.?

What do you both hope will appeal to the fans the most about this collection?

(Zeppo’s saga needs some more attention, methinks) Zeppo needs his own box set!

Most of our interactions with the group on this particular release were more about the presentation - packaging, sequencing, that sort of thing.
This 1969–1971 was an era that all of the members were (and still are) very proud of.

According to Howie Edelson, you guys were recently able to retrieve the long-lost "Sail On, Sailor" demo. That's some pretty fantastic news! How were you able to go about and start the process of re-acquiring the tape?

I think this collection - in any and all of its formats - has the potential to really change some people’s minds about The Beach Boys. I used to lend copies of SUNFLOWER and SURF’S UP to friends who weren’t “Beach Boys” fans and knew nothing beyond the surf and car tunes, and they’d be, like, “whoah - this is the same group? Why didn’t I know about this?” 😜

What is the future of the rest of the Sunflower/ Surfs Up material that is still in the vaults? Will there be a digital release soon or maybe another opportunity to use it?
Thank you for your guy's work on the Beach Boys catalogue as well

I was wondering if there are any plans to release/ reissue any Spring recordings? I'm interested in hearing about this, too. Are you guys working on any Spring stuff? Anybody talking about releasing some of it?
