Just showed those to partner Steph… said that if I bought one she'd divorce me, if we were married!!! 🤣😂😅😂🤣😂😅 Dunno. That Wild Honey one looks pretty good. Just tell her it's a tribute to her... Yes, that was the one that stood out for me. Might get her to switch her sewing machine on and save us the $600 international postage and the £700 import duties and handling fees.
A Sunflower icon one would be good too.

I listened to it in the car on my pretty good audio stereo system and I couldn't turn off this or that or do any of the technical things requested to get the enhanced stereo, but boy I must say it sounded pretty darn good coming out of my 13 different speakers.
This is a model piece of scholarship and I want to thank Stephen as well.
It made me want to play the sunflower album in totality from the TIDAL application where it lists the play back as masters level. You scholars like Steven will know what the differences between what Stephen has produced and what TIDAL calls masters lose less technology. It didn't sound nearly as good as what Stephen posted, but my overall appreciation of the entire sunflower album grew exponentially. At this point I would say it is a great great album absolutely a 10 and 1 of the 3 or 4 greatest accomplishments of The Beach Boys.
Listening on TIDAL to the masters recording I heard instruments and parts that I had never heard before, on Diedre for example.
And listening to Stephen's work made me appreciate the elegant simplicity of even dennis's Bongo taps on CCW. The Beach Boys have created an incredible sound masterpiece
Tomorrow I will be driving up to Santa Barbara to that exact stream where he recorded those water sounds.
Actually no I will not.
I can't imagine that even Steven remembers where that was or that anyone could possibly get there to that exact spot. But it is the kind of crazy thing that I like to do and that we all like to talk about.
Thank you so much Stephen. The professor tips his hat to you.

I'm new here. So of course I immediately failed at something and it's taken me a half hour just to find my way here.
I was originally pointed to PM-ing an admin, but can't find any way to do that.
So I'm grumpy. Sue me.
All I wanted to do here is listen to Mr Desper's study guides, and get out. I'd heard the first two when they were hosted elsewhere years ago; I only wanted to hear the recent Surf's Up. That video will not start; the other two work.
Can somebody help me resolve this, please? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply Mikie. I had already done those things, but did them again at your request. I can easily get to the page with the password. The three Vimeo vids show up. The first two play fine. The third one, Surf's Up, stalls with the spinning "Load" graphic. The previous attempt stalled for an hour at least efore I tried again. If the first two play, I'm guessing the problem is not on my end, but I'm not at all expert with forum tech. I have a Vimeo account. Can I just go there and access the video? (Kinda doubt it, but doesn't hurt to ask)

I'm at work and they have my access to stuff like YouTube and Vimeo blocked here, so let me try at home and get back to you. I'm wondering if it's because so many people are trying to access it at the same time. I can't think of another reason, other than maybe your ISP speed? Let me see if I have a problem with what you're describing when I get home later.

Thanx again, Mike.
Just for disclosure, I am stuck with an old DSL, but I seldom have trouble playing anything, though I try not to exceed 720p.
But again, the other two study guides, shown on the same page, light up and play promptly.
Appreciate the help, don't go nuts, enjoy the weekend.

OK, checking here at home now, gds, and all three videos are running smooth as silk, including the "Recording The Beach Boys Pt. 2" (Surf's Up) video. No problems at all. I subscribe to a cable network provider (Comcast).

Thanks again, Mike.
Two hours in, and the load graphic just keeps spinning. Again, the other two play just fine as you describe.
I guess I'm just out of luck on this one, reasons unknown. I give up.
Your assist is appreciated.

Gds, we've acquired a lot of new members the past couple of days who have been viewing the videos, and so far there's been no complaints. If anyone here as any recommendations for gds's issue, please chime in. Thanks!

Awesome! I am glad to come back to a Beach Boy board with great discussions. I used to be around during The Smile Shop board days pre-BWPS (2004) and the Smiley Smile boards sometime after that.
I've just finished the Sunflower study guide and hope to finish the other two tomorrow.
I learned about this board from the Sail On (https://sailon.podbean.com/) podcast and their Facebook group.

I took one more stab at accessing the study guides (specifically Surf's Up), failed again.
And then I thought to do something that I shoulda thought of before – change browsers. From Safari to Firefox. Worked fine.
Just wanted to drop this here in case someone else encounters a similar issue.
Thanks again to Mikie for the assist.

Hi, GDS. I should have asked which operating system and browser you were using before. Good to know that Firefox works for you now. I use a PC and Microsoft 10 Pro with Google Chrome with no problems.

If you've watched Stephen Desper's study videos and like them, he would like some feedback from you. Comments and questions are welcome at the top of the forum in one of the "General On-Topic Discussion" threads in the "Desper Study Videos" section. Thanks.
