This wikipedia page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unreleased_songs_recorded_by_the_Beach_Boys has really been a good rough guide to all that's hidden in the vaults. However, there were quite a few errors, so i sought to clean it up a little. But then a wiki user named ILIL began tampering with the page, undoing edits, and the culmination of this unintended battle has been an edit descriptor from them: "Removing unsourced content. Can't just edit this article and say that the information comes from "Beach Boys researchers", who the hell does that mean?" I'd like some help with this. I'm not exactly sure how, but i wanted to get the word out that a lot of listed songs are being removed due to a majority of the article relying on a single page from AGD's site that hasn't been updated in years. Thank you for your time!

Since when is Out In The Country known as just In The Country? No clue! Attempts have been made to correct "Hey There Moma" to Hey There Momma but they get undone.

According to Don Goldberg (the song's co-author) the correct title actually was 'In the Country', but it does show up as 'Out in the Country' on Beach Boys AFM contracts.
Haven't even read the rest of the article, but it's been established as a Brian Wilson/Don Goldberg song for a while now. And the version with Al singing lead doesn't come from either of those two So Tough era dates.

And also it says there that Beatrice From Baltimore is an early version of Marcella when we all know that's not true, it's an early version of You Need A mess Of Help, it's annoying when there are things on there that are false

That reminds me of the wiki editor issues Bruce Johnston had trying to post his own bio on Wikipedia.

It's a later reworking rather than a demo to the 'full' production as had previously been assumed. Goldberg didn't find out about it until decades later.

Thank you for your time! I take exception to that. The page has been updated every time there's been an archive release. Is "Carnival" on there ? Not since last December.

Crazy ! Thought I'd give it a go and made some additions to the Holland-era listings, adding the three songs from the Dutch-based CFS Studio session with Blondie, Ricky & Carl (which, for some reason, aren't featured) - but they only lasted 24 hours before they were removed. Who oversees such things ?

Now the page has been completely overhauled by that user, featuring the following wrong information
-It says Walkin' is both released and unreleased.
-Ditto for the songs Jingle Bells, Heart And Soul, and Long Tall Sally.
-An implication is left that the Brian/Paul jam session still exists and is in the vaults.
-10,000 Years and 10,000 Years Ago are listed as different songs altogether with no indication that they relate in the notes.
-Settle Down is claimed to have turned into Sound Of Free when in reality that was a working title for the final recording.
-No clarifications are made on several songs Mike re-recorded for his newer solo albums.
-Hey There "Moma" is STILL spelled incorrectly.
-The Dick Reynolds tracks are listed as instrumental only.
-"Slow Booze"

I think when editing it you need to put a source for where u found your information, because the one edit I made got to stay because I sourced it correctly

Surely 'surviving audio evidence' is sufficient enough source for some of those removed ?!! Granted, for the unrecorded songs its a tad harder to justify but when some of it actually circulates...?!
