Beetroot Ooh Your’s Cool gets my vote. Always found it too gung-ho and threatening in its nature. It’s the school bully song.
Well, every morning about this time, She gets me out of bed, a-crying, "Get a job", After breakfast everyday she throws the want ads right my way, And never fails to say: "Get a job."
Another tough round of BB Survivor is upon us, but there's still some stubble to shave off the list of Car and Love songs from the lion's share of vintage albums.
I'm going In The Parking Lot - nice enough, some humorous lyrics and an interestingly different time signatured intro and midtro group vocal (as revealed once the verse starts), but Brian's falsetto seems a bit strained and the bulk of the tune is a solid album track as opposed to a wow!

“Here comes the news there’s no time to lose”...love that song. 🎶
JFK - "Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country."
I voted for In The Parking Lot, it is probably one of the only Beach Boys songs, that upon looking at the title I don't remember how it goes at all.
That was my issue too until it got the accapella airing on the Keep An Eye On Summer CopEx release. And now I know it and love it… can’t underestimate the effect of the CopEx releases.

I listened to it again last night, and remembered it, but for some reason, I always forget about it. I do like it when I listen to it.
Although I like it, I'm voting off Your Summer Dream just so In the Parkin' Lot hangs around at least one more round. It deserves it for the vocal intro and outro alone, and I actually think it's a better song than some of the 1965 candidates.
The Beach Boys legacy was cemented decades ago by timeless music.

Just got enough time to park a vote in the lot before heading off for more looney tunes with some of my loved ones. And if it keeps Your Summer Dream in the game a while longer then I'll sleep happy tonight.
Stanley, hook that on to Binding Post "A"
Your heart is the big box of paints, and others the canvas we're dealt

Great to see you see you here, Sneaky! I’m hoping for the same happy slumber.

Ok, we should try and get a round in before the BIG ONE flows upon us very very very soon!
These guys wrote way too many love songs (LOL) and we need to chip away at the remaining tunes.
I'm going Wendy at this stage, because it's arguably the least accomplished track within an embarrassment of riches, as they say. Sorry to see her go, but that's the brief.
Go hard, friends!

We certainly should. I voted out "Rhonda" simply because I heard it far too often at the time (and prefer the mellow, h-less album version).
